Dr. Sean Simonds earned his BS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from James Madison University in 2007, graduating with honors. In 2010, Sean earned a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at St. Francis University, again with honors.
In 2014, Sean completed a sub-specialty residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy through a combined program between Movement for Life and the University of Southern California.
Sean went on to pass the boards in the discipline and is now one of only a select few (less than 4%) Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (OCS).
Having always admired Western North Carolina, Sean moved to Asheville with his wife and in 2015 Sean opened Specialized Physical Therapy in South Asheville.
In his spare time Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn daughter, playing with his Labrador and Border collie, studying Italian, exercising, biking, hiking, and boating.
